A maximal of 8 days leave is permitted during a 3 month placement

Trainees undertaking 6 month placements must spend a block of their time(2-3 months) on PICU within the placement

You will need a valid APLS certificate failing which a PILS ( Paediatric Immediate Life Support) course will have to be done within 2 weeks of commencement at BCH

In addition to Paediatrics, the hospital offers other training opportunities  e.g courses in 'Human Factors'  and  a Management Training module 

Recruitment  will take place in August for year long Paediatric Anaesthesia fellowships starting May 2017. Contact Dr Stansfield for details
