STAGE THREE TRAINING AND SPECIAL INTEREST AREAS (SIAs)
You should meet with your TPD midway through Stage 2 Training to plan for your Stage 3 allocations and your special interest areas.
One year of Stage 3 will be spent meeting the generic requirements of the Stage 3 curriculum and one year will be spent gaining in-depth experience of one or more special interest areas. The details of the special interest areas are available on the RCoA Website. Time may be taken out of programme to achieve these stage 3 experiences elsewhere in the country or elsewhere in the world. Full details on the OOP Information Page of this website.
Intensive Care Medicine training
For those on a dual training programme, the special interest area year will be spent entirely in Intensive Care Medicine. Details about the ICM Training programme are included below. The TPD for ICM Training is Dr Asif Arshad and he can be contacted via wmicmtpd@gmail.com
